How to navigate the Course Information System as an Instructor

This page applies to Instructors only.

My Courses

After signing in to CIS, instructors will be taken to their My Courses dashboard, with a few tabs at the top.

The Course Overview tab displays the courses you are teaching in the current academic session and that require further attention, along with their respective submission status for each of the CIS modules. Courses with approved and finalized submissions may not be displayed in the Course Overview tab.

The module tabs display all courses you are teaching in the current academic session, along with their respective submission status in the selected CIS module.

See the Workflow section below for the recommended order to complete your tasks in CIS.

Access a Course Submission

  1. On your My Courses home page, click the desired module tab at the top.
  2. Click the status link to the right of the desired course, to access the data and forms for an individual course.
Note: Only courses with an approved and finalized Exam Details submission will be displayed in the Final Exam module tab.
