SharePoint Site Storage and Other Useful Metrics
SharePoint sites come with an allocated storage quota. SharePoint site administrators will receive a notification when a site reaches 85% usage.
To increase your storage, contact EASI SharePoint Support.
Check Storage Metrics
Note: only site owners or administrators can perform this. For assistance, contact a site owner/administrator or EASI SharePoint Support.
Follow the steps in this video.
- From the Gear icon (top right corner), go to Site Information > Site Settings.
- Select Storage Metrics.
- This page will show you overall space utilization and also break it down by list and individual items.
NOTE: the first stage Recycle bin also counts against your storage quota.
Other Useful Metrics
From the Gear icon > Site Contents, select Site Usage from the grey menu. This page provides a breakdown of views and visits, traffic patterns, popular platforms, and popular items on the site.
It provides stats for the past 90 days with an option to download an Excel report.
To examine specific pages, visit them and select Analytics at the top.
