Add a weather forecast to your calendar

Introduction

When you are trying to manage your time, the more information you have the better. If you know that a storm is coming in, you can let your colleagues know that you’ll be calling in, rather than walking across campus in the rain. Thankfully, Office 365 has given users the option of adding the weather forecast to their calendar. That way, you’ll never be caught out in the rain again.

Instructions

  1. Click the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
    Outlook homepage

  2. Select View all Outlook settings.
    Settings panel

  3. In the Settings menu select Calendar and then Weather.
    Weather settings

  4. To show weather on your calendar select Show weather, then select your preferred temperature scale and choose your location. Click Save to enable weather forecasting for your calendar.
    Save button

With weather forecasting enabled, you will have a five-day forecast embedded in your calendar. Each forecast includes the current temperature, the probability of precipitation and the daily high and low temperatures.
