AdminVPN is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service provided by the University of Toronto's Information Security department. You must connect to AdminVPN in order to access secure enterprise applications (such as AMS and ROSI) and unit services (such as Intranet sites and file shares) within the university.
Prerequisites
- Cisco Secure Client. If Cisco Secure Client is not installed on your device, follow the UTORvpn usage guide to install it.
- UTORMFA enrolment. If you are not enrolled in UTORMFA, refer to the UTORMFA usage guide to self-enrol.
Connect to AdminVPN
- Launch the Cisco Secure Client application, or locate it in the dock.

- Select
admin.vpn.utoronto.ca from the connection drop-down list.

- Select "Connect".
- The U of T Weblogin window will automatically appear. Authenticate with your UTORid and password, then click “log in”. You will be prompted for UTORMFA.
- Once authentication is complete, the Cisco Secure Client window will display a green checkmark, and its icon in the "hidden items" dock will display a closed lock.

You are now connected. You may close the Cisco Secure Client interface and continue using your computer to connect to secure enterprise applications.
Disconnect from AdminVPN
Closing Cisco Secure Client does not automatically disconnect you from AdminVPN. To disconnect, follow these steps.
- Log out of any protected resources you are connected to, and close any related applications (such as SAP GUI) and/or browser tabs.
- Open Cisco Secure Client.
- Select the "Disconnect" button.
