Book a shared resource in Outlook Web Access (OWA)


Shared resources can be either a meeting room or a piece of equipment. If it requires approval to book, a booking policy can be applied to it. Not all resources will have a booking policy.

Book a meeting room

  1. Click New event in Calendar View in Outlook Web Access (OWA – https://mail.utoronto.ca).

  2. Add a title and attendees and click in the Search for a room or location field.
  3. Select the room you wish to use, fill in any remaining details and click Send.

  4. If there is no booking policy in place and the resource is available, you will receive an email notification that your request was approved.

If there is a booking policy in place, you will receive an email notification that the request is tentative. Once it’s reviewed and approved by the administrator, you will receive an email notification. The scheduler at the right doesn’t indicate if the resource is available or not.
