Wireless access at other universities and colleges with eduroam on Android


Note: Note: Labels for fields and buttons, and how screens are organized may differ slightly from device to device, depending on the version of Android you are running. Screenshot are from Android 14 on a Samsung device.

  1. Go to Settings and choose Wi-Fi.
  2. Turn Wi-Fi on if it is not already.
  3. You should now see a list of available wireless networks. Tap eduroam.



  4. Make sure the next screen has the folllowing settings:
    • In Identity, type UTORid@utoronto.ca (replacing UTORid with your actual UTORid)
    • In Password, type your password
    • For CA certificate choose Use system certificate
    • For Domain, type radius.wireless.utoronto.ca
    • For EAP method, it should be PEAP
    • For Minimum TLS version, choose TLSv1.2
    • For Phase 2 authentication, it should be MSCHAPV2
      Leave the other settings as the default.

  5. Click Connect.
