Introduction
Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded for future viewing. The recording captures audio, video, and screen sharing activity, and you can share it securely across your organization.
- Meeting recordings won't capture whiteboards, annotations, shared notes, and also won't include videos or animations embedded in PowerPoint Live presentations.
- When you view a meeting recording, you'll see no more than four peoples' video streams at once.
- Make sure you let everyone on the call know they are being recorded.
Record a Meeting
If you wish to include captions in your video, ensure you have turned on the meeting transcription in addition to starting the recording.
- In the top right corner, click on More actions (three-dots icon).
- Select Start Recording from the drop-down menu that appears.
- You will get a notice at the top of the call stating that you are recording.
- Once the meeting is done, click the three dots and select Stop Recording from the menu.
Find recordings
Teams meeting recordings are stored in OneDrive or SharePoint:
- Non-Channel meetings will be stored in the OneDrive of the person who clicked the record button in a special folder labelled “Recordings” that sits at the top of the recorder’s OneDrive.
- Channel meetings will be stored in a folder labelled “Recordings” under a folder named after the channel under the Team’s document library.
