Note: The Java SAP GUI uses the embedded SapMachine and OpenJFX stack when installing a .dmg file.
These are the officially supported OS versions for SAP Gui for JAVA 8.10.
macOS Sonoma 14
macOS Sequoia 15.2 and newer
It might run fine on older versions as well, but this is neither tested nor officially supported.
OTHER SOFTWARE
If not already installed, then download and install the SafeNet Authentication client.
Download the SAPGUI 8.10 for Java software and the Secure Login client from the link below:
Note: The X86 version is compatible with Apple silicon.
If it is a fresh SAP GUI for JAVA install, download and install the SAP Secure Login Client Package called "SecureLoginClient.pkg." The steps can be found below.
If you want to uninstall the older version you need to start the install and then use the "Remove" option using the same software version used to install your current version. See Uninstall at the bottom of this document.
If you are upgrading from an existing SAP GUI for JAVA install, and already have Secure Client, you can skip this section.
After you download SecureLoginClient.pkg from the link provided above. Click on the package and follow the prompts.
Click Continue
Click Install
Close the SAPGUI Application if open
Click OK
Click Close
Either click on Keep or Move to Trash.
Run the JAVA GUI installer using the downloaded DMG file.
Drag the SAP Clients folder into the Applications folder.
You will then see a folder in your applications
Close the Install window
Go to your Applications and view the new SAP Gui
You will see the new SAP GUI icon
Installation is finished.
Open the SAP Gui for JAVA 8.10
About SAPGUI now shows
Next task is to add the SAPGUILandscape.xml to your SAP GUI directory or it should already be there if this is an upgrade. Directions can be found in the following URL.
To do this you will need the original installation file for your current version you want to uninstall

Start by running the installation
We can see here the version we plan to uninstall. It must match your installed version. Click next.
Click Next
Here is where you click "Remove"
Click Close
