Clear cookies in different web browsers


To correct certain issues with the UTmail+ service, it may be necessary to clear the cookies and cache from your browser.

Clear cookies in Chrome

Clear all cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by three dots.
  2. Select the menu option More tools.
  3. Click Clear browsing data…

  4. In the Clear browsing data window, check Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.

  5. Change the Time range to All time.

  6. Click Clear data.

Clear specific cookies

  1. Click the settings menu indicated by three dots and select Settings in Windows or go to Preferences from the Chrome menu on Mac.
  2. In the Privacy and security section, click Cookies and other site data.

  3. Click on See all cookies and site data.

  4. To delete a specific cookie, click the garbage icon to the right of the cookie listing.

Clear cookies in Safari

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Manage Website Data.

  5. Click Remove All.

Clear specific cookies

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Manage Website Data.
  5. Select the cookie you wish to delete and click Remove.

Clearing cookies in Microsoft Edge

Clear all cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by the three dots.
  2. In the Settings dropdown, select the menu options History.

  3. In the History panel, select the three dot More menu. In the drop-down, select Clear browsing data.

  4. In the Clear browsing data window for the Time range, select All time. Then check Browsing history, Download history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
  5. Click Clear now.

Clear specific cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by the three dots and in the dropdown select Settings.
  2. Select Cookies and site Permissions from the left sidebar menu. 
  3. Under Cookies and data stored, select Manage and delete cookies and site data.

  4. Select See all cookies and site data.
  5. To delete a specific cookie, click on the drop-down icon and then the garbage icon to the right of the listing.

Clear cookies in Firefox

Clear all cookies (Windows)

  1. Click the menu button (three lines) and select Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  3. Click the Clear Data… button.

  4. The Clear Data dialog will appear.

    • Cookies and Site Data (to remove login status and site preferences) and Cached Web Content (to remove stored images, scripts and other cached content) should both be check marked.
  5. Click Clear.

Clear All Cookies (Mac)

  1. Click the View History.. button.

  2. Select the menu option History.
  3. Click Clear Recent History.
  4. Set the Time Range to clear to Everything.

  5. Ensure that Cookies and Cache are checked.
  6. Click Ok.

Clear specific cookies

  1. To delete cookies for any single website:
  2. Click the menu button (three lines) and select Options (on Windows) or Preferences (on Mac).
  3. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section

  4. Click the Manage Data… button. The Manage Cookies and Site Data dialog will appear.
  5. In the Search websites field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. Items that match your search will be displayed.

  6. To remove selected items, select an entry and click Remove Selected.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. In the Removing Cookies and Site Data confirmation dialog that opens, click Remove.

Clear cookies in Internet Explorer

Clear all cookies

  1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the menu option Safety.
  3. Click Delete browsing history…



  4. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data.
  5. Check Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data.
  6. Click Delete.

  1. To clear the cookies for a particular domain, navigate to the website you want to clear cookies for.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner and choose F12 Developer Tools.
  3. In the Developer Tools window, click Cache.
  4. Click Clear cookies for domain. Click Yes to confirm.
