What Is DocuSign?

Introduction

DocuSign is a platform that allows organizations to manage electronic agreements. The service gives you the ability to complete contracts, approvals and other agreements in minutes rather than days with eSignature. DocuSign eSignature accelerates agreements, eliminates manual tasks and makes it easy to connect with the tools and systems you already use. To understand the different options, we recommend you visit https://utoronto.sharepoint.com/sites/its-easi-esignature/SitePages/Electronic-Signature-Options.aspx.

DocuSign at University of Toronto

An Enterprise DocuSign service is operated and managed by Information Technology Services (EASI) with the joint effort of divisional IT representatives to provide resources for divisions interested in using DocuSign as an e-signature solution.

In general, any sort of form or document that needs to be signed with an ink signature such as legal documents, contracts, letters of offer and many more are good candidates for eSignatures. You can see more common eSignature use cases here: https://utoronto.sharepoint.com/sites/its-easi-esignature/SitePages/Sample-Use-Cases.aspx.

To learn more about eSignatures including guidance on platform comparisons, best practices, sample sites, cool features and more, visit the University’s Electronic Signature Competency Centre site: https://utoronto.sharepoint.com/sites/its-easi-esignature.
