Introduction
The password reset tool allows you to reset your alumnimail password if you have forgotten it.
You can choose from the following methods:
- SMS text message to a mobile phone
- Message sent to an alternate email address
- Microsoft Authenticator app
When you set this up, a security code will be sent to you which you use to verify your identity on the password reset web page.
NOTE: Do not use your U of T student email (the email ending in mail.utoronto.ca) as your recovery email address. This is not a valid recovery email address.
Use an external email address as your recovery email.
Instructions
- Log into your account at alumnimail.utoronto.ca.
- Click on your user icon in the top right and choose View Account.
- Click on the Security info link at the left.
- Click Add method to add a new method.
- Choose the method from the pull-down menu in the window that appears.
- Follow the instructions to set up the method you have chosen.
