Off-boarding users from SharePoint

Depending on the person’s status, their OneDrive and account may or may not be deleted, so it is important that site owners and managers still do a manual clean up of permissions. This includes:
- Ensuring that any content to be kept is extracted from the employee's OneDrive. If the account is decommissioned, there is a 30 day window to retrieve contents.
- The Team Owner or Site Collection Administrator should remove the individual from the Team and/or site manually. To easily remove a user from all access on a site, follow the instructions in KB0012217-How to delete a user from an entire SharePoint site collection
