UTmail+: Remove an existing email account from Outlook on Android


When you have an existing UTmail+ account set up and are encountering issues, you can delete the existing account before adding it back to troubleshoot. The error may have arisen because the original account used legacy authentication, which requires you to delete the account and re-add the account while utilizing modern authentication. 

Instructions

  1. Tap on Inbox on the top left.

  2. Tap on the Settings icon (gear-shaped) in the sidebar on the bottom left.

  3. Under Email accounts, pick the U of T email account.

  4. In the Account info screen, scroll down to the bottom and tap on DELETE ACCOUNT.

  5. In the pop-up confirmation, tap on DELETE to complete the account removal.
