New Outlook vs Outlook Classic

Microsoft recently created a “New” Outlook that is operationally similar to Outlook Online. As of February 2024, several tasks require reverting to Outlook Classic to complete as they are not supported in the newer version. This includes exporting .pst files, importing local calendars, and entering safe mode, among other tasks.

Notably, shared mailbox functionality is depreciated on “New” Outlook, signing into your personal mailbox will populate your shared mailboxes as folders you can read, but you cannot send from the shared mailbox in “New” Outlook.
