Turn off MS Teams notifications when a SharePoint News article is posted


If you have access to a SharePoint site, by default, you'll be alerted whenever a news article is posted on it through your MS Teams app. To remove these notifications from Teams, this must be manually and individually done.

  1. Open your MS Teams app and select Activity > the ellipses (...) > Notification Settings.
    In Microsoft Teams, select Activity, the ellipses, then Notification settings
  2. Scroll down to the Apps section and select Connections. From the dropdowns, select Off to customize your notifications. 

Your changes will be automatically saved. To change the settings at a later time, repeat the steps above.
