How to access Microsoft Planner

How to access Microsoft Planner

Introduction

Planner makes it easy for your team to create new plans, organize and assign tasks, share files, chat about what you are working on and get updates on progress.

Accessing Planner through the web

Access Microsoft Planner through Planner for web:

  1. Go to mail.utoronto.ca and click on the waffle in the top left corner. Click on Office 365.
  2. Click All apps and select Planner.

Accessing Planner through Microsoft Teams

If you are using Microsoft Teams, you can organize your tasks by adding one or more Planner tabs to a team channel. You can then work on your plan from within Teams or in Planner for web, remove or delete your plan, and get notified in Teams when a task is assigned to you in Planner.

In Teams, in the left column, choose More options ..., and select Planner.

The apps menu in Teams, selecting the Planner app.

On the My Tasks tab, you can see all the tasks assigned to you in Planner. The Recent and Alltabs show your Teams-created plans you have recently looked at and a list of all plans you're a part of in Teams. Select Aboutto find out more about the Planner app in Teams.
