Clearing cookies in different web browsers

To correct certain issues with the UTmail+ service, it may be necessary to clear the cookies and cache from your browser.

Clearing cookies in Chrome

Clear all cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by three dots.
  2. Select the menu option More tools.
  3. Click Clear browsing data…

  4. In the “Clear browsing data” window, check Clear browsing data, Cookies and other site date.
  5. Click Clear data.

Clear specific cookies

  1. Click the settings menu and select Settings in Windows or go to Preferences from the Chrome menu on Mac.
  2. In the Privacy and security section, click Cookies and other site data and click on See all cookies and site data.
  3. To delete a specific cookie, mouse over the site that issued the cookie, then click the X  or garbage icon to the right of the listing.

Clear all cookies

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.

  4. Click Manage Website Data.

Clear specific cookies

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click
  5. Manage Website Data.
  6. Select the cookie you wish to delete and click Remove.

Clearing cookies in Microsoft Edge

Clear all cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by the three dots.
  2. Select the menu options History > Clear browsing data.
  3. In the Clear browsing data window, For Time range, select All time, check Browsing history, Cookies and other site data.
  4. Click Clear now

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by the three dots.
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Site Permissions
  4. Select Cookies and Data
  5. Select See all cookies and site data
  6. To delete a specific cookie, click on the garbage icon to the right of the listing.

Clearing cookies in Firefox

Clear all cookies (Windows 10)

  1. Click the menu button (three lines) and select Options.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  3. Click the Clear Data… button. The Clear Data dialog will appear.

    • Cookies and Site Data (to remove login status and site preferences) and Cached Web Content (to remove stored images, scripts and other cached content) should both be check marked.
  4. Click Clear.

Clear All Cookies (Mac)

  1. Click the View History.. button.

  3. Click Clear Recent History.
  4. Set the Time Range to clear to Everything.

  5. Ensure that Cookies and Cache are checked.
  6. Click Ok.

Clear specific cookies

  1. To delete cookies for any single website:
  2. Click the menu button (three lines) and select Options (on Windows) or Preferences (on Mac).
  3. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section

  4. Click the Manage Data… button. The Manage Cookies and Site Data dialog will appear.
  5. In the Search websites field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. Items that match your search will be displayed.

  6. To remove selected items, select an entry and click Remove Selected.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. In the Removing Cookies and Site Data confirmation dialog that opens, click OK.
  9. Close the about:preferences page.

Clearing cookies in Internet Explorer

Clear all cookies

  1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the menu option Safety.
  3. Click Delete browsing history…



  4. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data.
  5. Check Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data.
  6. Click Delete.

Clear specific cookies

  1. To clear the cookies for a particular domain, navigate to the website you want to clear cookies for.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner and choose F12 Developer Tools.
  3. In the Developer Tools window, click Cache.
  4. Click Clear cookies for domain. Click Yes to confirm.
