Teams Meetings: Enable a lobby

Introduction

When you create a meeting in Microsoft Teams, you can change the meeting policy settings to control whether groups of participants must wait in the lobby before they are admitted into the Teams meeting. Please read the instructions below to update lobby settings based on participant type.

Instructions

To change your meeting's lobby options you will need to access your meeting options. Follow these steps to find your meeting's options.

  1. Create a Teams meeting in your Outlook calendar.
  2. Open the meeting in your Outlook calendar.
  3. Scroll down to the section of the meeting information that gives the Teams meeting details and select Meeting options.
  4. A new window will launch. Click on the Who can bypass the lobby? dropdown menu to select your lobby setting (see section below for a description of each setting).
  5. When you have selected your setting, click Save to apply it to your meeting.
