How do I check that SAP GUI is installed correctly?
Check the settings from options.
Click on the top left icon "SAP Logon 800" and select "Options".
Click on the "Check SAP GUI Installation" button from System Information.
Click on "Next"
The SAP Front-End Installer will check the installation of components.
It should show that there are no errors detected with the installation.
Configuration Issues
How do I switch the theme? (some users might get a default theme and they will need to switch to Blue Crystal)
Check the settings from options.
Click on the top left icon "SAP Logon 800" and select "Options"
Find the "Theme Settings" from the Visual Design folder.
Make sure the selected theme is "Blue Crystal Theme" and the check box is selected for "Activate animated focus".
Secure Network Communication (SNC) or Connections Related Issues
What if I see an SNC error with system connection not getting created?
1. The first step is to restart the system twice and to see if the error resolves.
2. If the issue is still not resolved, the second step is to uninstall the SAP GUI version and restart the system.
3. The third step is to install SAP GUI 8.0 and select the appropriate SNC options mentioned in this Knowledge Base article.
Connection Issues
Why do I not see any system connections after the SAP GUI upgrade?
At times after upgrading SAP GUI, you might have an issue with finding the system names or you may be missing the configuration files,
Please refer to the manual steps to find if you have the correct configuration files(SAPUILandscape_Users.xml) or the repective xml file selected.
