The Deadlines setting allows Department Administrators and Registrar's Offices to set when instructor submissions are due for each Module. Deadlines are informational and do not restrict instructors from submitting data past the deadline date. Instructors will be able to view their submission deadlines within CIS as well as in automated email reminders.
There are different types of deadlines that can be configured, depending on your role in CIS. All deadlines have the following in common:
The Divisional Deadline defines the date for when submissions are due for all courses in a division.
The Departmental Deadline defines the date for when submissions are due for all courses in a department.
The Deadline Override defines the date for when a submission is due for a single course or Course Group.
Instructors will see their submission deadlines on their home page as well as on each course's submission form. The deadline that applies to instructors is determined by the most specific deadline that is available, in the order listed below.
Instructors will receive email reminders for any unsubmitted courses with upcoming or past deadlines, based on the division the course is associated with.
